The RepBud Code of Conduct
Last updated: 30 September 2026
RepBud is where the travel industry connects. It works because members trust that the people who reach out are real, relevant and respectful. By joining, you agree to:
- Be who you say you are. Your real name, your real company and the right role. One account per person. A supplier looking for a rep joins as RepBud Ready.
- Connect with a reason. Send a request when there's a real fit: a destination they sell, a product that suits their clients, a meeting at a show. Add a short note. Don't send requests in bulk to people you have no reason to contact.
- Respect a no. If someone declines, doesn't answer or removes you from their list, leave it there. Don't chase them through other RepBud features.
- Messages are conversations, not campaigns. Don't send mass marketing through messages, group messages or smoke signals. Campaigns and newsletters belong in Reach, sent to contacts who've agreed to hear from you, with an unsubscribe.
- The directory isn't a mailing list. Travel agents and tour operators are on RepBud free, to find product and people. Details a member shares with you are for your working relationship with them. Don't add them to lists or share them.
- Keep it professional. No harassment, discrimination, misleading claims or pressure selling.
- Protect other people's information. Don't copy, export or scrape other members' details out of RepBud.
- Tell us when something's wrong. Use Report on a profile or a message.
How we act when the code is broken
- What we watch for: requests that are declined or ignored at a high rate, members removing you from their lists, reports from other members, sending in bulk, and false details.
- While a concern is looked into: Graeme may pause an account straight away, before any note, until he has finished looking into it.
- Step 1, a note: Graeme gets in touch to explain what's been seen.
- Step 2, a pause: for up to 30 days, you can't send connection requests, messages or smoke signals, and you're not shown in the directory.
- Step 3, removal from the network: your account comes out of the directory and the network. Your own contacts and CRM stay yours to export.
- Straight to removal: fake accounts, scraping, harassment or fraud skip steps 1 and 2.
- No refunds: a paid subscription isn't refunded when an account is paused or removed for breaking this code.
- Appeals: reply to the email about it, and Graeme reviews it within five working days.
