Frequently Asked Questions
Finding work in travel
How do I find a job in the travel industry?+
Look where the travel trade posts its own roles. On RepBud Jobs, tour operators, DMCs, travel agencies, reps, airlines and confirmed travel recruiters post Hiring pins for sales, reservations, product, marketing, operations, guiding and management roles. You can read the open roles here without an account and filter by country, role, contract or remote. To apply, create a free RepBud account and send a short note with your profile.
Can I work from home in travel?+
Yes, many travel roles can be done from home, most often sales and reservations consultants, homeworking travel agents, and some product and marketing roles. Each role on RepBud says whether it is on-site, hybrid or remote, and a remote role names the countries it can be done from, so check that before you apply.
How do I apply for a job on RepBud?+
Open the role and choose Apply. You will be asked to sign in or create a free RepBud account, then you can send a short note to the poster with your RepBud profile and, if you like, a CV. Your application is private to you and the poster, and you can see where it stands: Sent, Viewed, Shortlisted or Not this time.
Who posts jobs on RepBud?+
Members of the RepBud travel trade network — tour operators, DMCs, travel agents, reps, travel PR, airlines, tourist boards and event organisers — and recruitment agencies that RepBud has confirmed. Each poster declares that the role is paid, that candidates will not be asked for any fee or deposit, and that it has no discriminatory requirements.
Does it cost anything to apply?+
No. Applying is free, and a RepBud account starts on Economy, the free cabin, with no card. A real employer will not ask you for money to apply or to start a job; if a role does, report it from the role on RepBud.
Are the jobs only in one country?+
No. RepBud is used by the travel trade around the world, so roles can be anywhere, and remote roles list the countries they can be done from. Use the country filter, or the country pages linked below, to see roles where you are.
What happens when a role is filled?+
It comes off the board and off this page. Everyone who applied is told on their application whether it was filled or closed, and a role that is not renewed comes down after 60 days, so the roles you see here are open.
