Travel Industry Conferences & Summits 2026–2027
Conferences are the other half of the calendar: you go to listen and to meet people, not to work a stand. These are the industry gatherings where the thinking gets set — strategy, distribution, technology and where the market is going — with dates, venues and somewhere to stay near each.

COMMON QUESTIONS
Business travel show FAQs
What is the difference between a travel conference and a trade show?+
At a trade show you work a stand or a table and the point is meetings — WTM, ITB and ILTM all run that way. At a conference the point is the programme: you are there for the sessions and the people you meet around them. Skift Global Forum and Phocuswright are conferences; there is no exhibition floor to work.
Which travel industry conferences are worth attending?+
It depends what you sell. Skift Global Forum and Phocuswright cover strategy, distribution and technology for the wider industry. Adventure Travel World Summit and AdventureELEVATE serve the adventure market, Arival covers tours and activities, USTOA the North American tour operator market, and Mountain Travel Symposium the ski trade.
Are travel industry conferences worth it for a sales rep?+
They work differently from a show. You will take fewer meetings than at a trade show and get more context — where the market is heading, what buyers are being told, who is moving. Reps who go tend to go for the relationships built around the sessions rather than for appointment volume.
How much do travel industry conferences cost to attend?+
More than a trade show, typically. Conferences charge a delegate fee rather than offering free trade registration, and the larger ones run into four figures before travel. Early-bird rates are usually meaningfully cheaper, and some offer supplier or startup rates — check the event page for what applies this year.
How do I get value out of a conference I have paid to attend?+
Know who you want to meet before you go, and capture what was said while it is fresh. RepBud is built for that — log a conversation on your phone between sessions and it files against the right contact, with the next step kept where you will see it. RepBud is designed to assist, not replace, your professional judgement.
Keep track of who you meet, show after show.
Reps and DMCs, operators and agents, lodges and hotels, travel media — whoever you are there as, log a conversation by text, photo or forwarded email and RepBud files it against the right contact, show after show.
Free to join. No card. The same allowance whoever you are.
1,000 contacts and 5 clients, 25 logs a month, one form taking 25 responses, and Relay for 1 GB of file transfers across two active links. Card scanning, reports, email and WhatsApp sending, meeting prep and follow-ups pulled out for you are on the paid plans — see what each adds.
