You tell the
story.
The rep opens the door. The property is the setting. But the story that reaches the reader — the feature, the photo essay, the film — that's your work. Whether you're a journalist, an editor, a photographer, a videographer, or a creator, RepBud Reporters connects you with the reps who can bring you the access, the trips, and the material you need.

A quiet welcome from Ray
The coverage you create is what carries a destination to the people who'll one day visit it. Tell me what you're working on, and I'll make sure the reps who can actually help see it — and that they only approach you once you've opted in. I'll show you the ones who represent the places you cover. Welcome to the Reserve.
What is RepBud Reporters?
RepBud Reporters is the free side of the RepBud Reserve built for travel media — journalists, editors, photographers, videographers, content creators, and broadcasters. It exists because the access that makes great travel coverage possible usually depends on knowing the right person, and because finding that person should not mean firing off a dozen cold emails before a deadline.
Inside the Reserve, you discover which reps represent the destinations and properties you cover, connect with the ones worth knowing, and post what you are working on so the right reps come to you — with press trips, FAM trips, imagery, and the material a story needs.
Everything flows through consent. Reps can discover your professional media profile, but to reach you directly they need a connection — one that flows from a request you have accepted, or an introduction you have initiated. Your time stays yours.
Quiet until you want it loud
Your inbox is yours.
RepBud Reporters is built on consent, and it shapes every feature. Reps can see that you exist. They can see the professional information you choose to share. But to reach you directly — for a press trip invite, a story pitch, an introduction — the connection flows from you. You reach out first, or you say yes to a request.
You decide who gets your attention, when, and about what. The Reserve is quiet until you choose to make it loud.
The Reserve, for you
Ways the Reserve works for you
Post What You’re Working On
Share a current commission or a brief — a destination, a theme, a property type, a deadline. Connected reps who can help see it and come to you. The single fastest way to turn "I need access for this piece" into the right introduction.
Press Trips & FAM Trips
Connected reps can invite you to press trips and FAM trips through RepBud — with the brief, dates, eligibility, and a one-tap response. The trips you hear about when you want to hear about them, not buried in a forwarded email chain.
Connect With Reps, on Your Terms
Search reps by destination, property, or rep company. Request a connection with anyone who represents the places you cover — or accept invitations from reps who value your work. Every connection flows from consent, both ways.
Discover Who Represents What
Type a destination or property name and see who represents it. Stop chasing down who handles press for that new lodge, or whether there is a UK contact for the destination your editor just commissioned.
Story Material That Matters
New property launches, refurbishments, conservation stories, imagery and press releases — delivered from the reps you have connected with, matched to the destinations you cover, not the wider industry noise.
Trade Events, Curated
Access the Trade Events directory. Filter by destination, region, month, or event type. See which of your connected reps are attending, and plan your coverage around the calendar that matters.
Your Profile, Your Rules
Your media profile shows what you want it to show — outlets, medium, destinations covered, recent work. Pause your visibility between commissions. Edit or remove anything, anytime.
Free, and Staying Free
RepBud Reporters is free for all travel media. Funded by the paying rep side of the Reserve. No hidden tier. No advertiser interruptions. No data sold to third parties.

Frequently Asked Questions
What travel media want to know
What is RepBud Reporters?+
RepBud Reporters is the free side of the RepBud Reserve built for travel media — journalists, editors, photographers, videographers, content creators, and broadcasters. It connects you to the reps who represent the properties and destinations you cover, gives you structured access to press trips and FAM trips, and lets you post what you are working on so the right reps can bring you the stories, access, and material you need.
Who is RepBud Reporters for?+
Anyone in travel media. Staff and freelance travel journalists. Commissioning and section editors. Photographers and videographers shooting properties and destinations. Content creators and influencers working with travel brands. Broadcasters and podcasters. If your work involves covering travel — in print, online, on air, or on camera — RepBud Reporters is built for you.
Is RepBud Reporters really free?+
Yes — and the plan is to keep it that way. RepBud Reporters is funded by the paying side of the Reserve (reps and rep companies on RepBud subscriptions). Your data is not sold to advertisers, your attention is not auctioned to sponsors, and there is no hidden tier you will be pushed toward later.
How is this different from RepBuddies?+
RepBuddies is for the trade that sells trips — agents, tour operators, product managers, and travel designers. RepBud Reporters is for the media that covers travel. Both connect to reps, but the relationship is different: RepBuddies share booking stats and book holidays, while Reporters post commissions and join press trips. The two communities do not see one another — reps sit at the centre of both.
What is the "what I am working on" feature?+
It is the heart of RepBud Reporters. Post a current commission or what you are looking for — a destination, a theme, a type of property, a deadline — and the connected reps who can help will see it and reach out. Working on a Kenya conservation feature and looking for lodges with strong anti-poaching stories? Post it once, and the right reps come to you. It is the media equivalent of the briefs that usually get lost across a hundred separate emails.
Will I get spammed or cold-contacted by reps?+
RepBud Reporters is built on consent. Reps discover your professional media profile, but to reach you directly — whether for a press trip invite, a story pitch, or an introduction — the connection needs to flow from you: either you reach out first, or you accept a request. If you have not opted in to hear from a particular rep, they are not able to message you.
How does connecting with reps work?+
Search by destination, property name, or rep company — see which reps represent the places you cover, and request a connection with any of them. Once connected, the rep can invite you to press trips, FAM trips, and launches, respond to what you are working on, and share material. You can disconnect at any time.
What about press trips and FAM trips?+
Press trips and FAM trips are the main reason reps and media connect. Connected reps can invite you to the trips they are organising, through the app rather than email chaos — with the brief, the dates, the eligibility, and a one-tap response. You also get access to the Trade Events directory to see relevant industry events and which of your connected reps are attending.
Can PR or in-house comms people join as Reporters?+
RepBud Reporters is for working media — the people who create the coverage. PR and in-house communications professionals represent properties and brands, which puts them on the supply side of the relationship rather than the media side, so they are not part of the Reporters community. If you represent properties seeking UK or international representation, RepBud Ready is the right home.
How does RepBud Reporters respect my data and time?+
Your profile shows professional media information only — the outlets you work with, your medium, the destinations you cover, and links to recent work you choose to share. You choose what is public. You choose who can contact you. You can pause your visibility, leave connections, or delete your account at any time. RepBud does not sell data and does not broker your attention to reps — reps pay a subscription because they value reaching you on your terms.
