How do you guide?
Five ways of working, one Guide account
You choose one at sign-up, and it sits beside your role on your card: Guide, then how you work.
- 🧭 FreelanceYou guide on your own account. A trading name and a website are optional.
- 🏡 LodgeYou guide at a lodge, and name it on your profile.
- ⛺ CampYou guide at a camp, and name it on your profile.
- 🌿 ReserveYou guide on a reserve, and name it on your profile.
- 🏢 CompanyYou guide for a company, and name it on your profile.
What you get, free
A Guide profile
Your name, how you guide, the lodge, camp, reserve or company you work with, and the languages you guide in.
The languages you guide in
Choose them at sign-up, at least one. They show on your card and your profile, and you can change them later.
Found in Find people
Guides have their own tab in Find people, so members of the trade looking for a guide can find you and ask to connect.
Connect and message
Ask to connect with reps, tour operators, travel agents, DMCs and the rest of the trade, and message the ones who accept, one to one or in a group chat.
Who's Nearby and trade events
See which members are at the same trade show or in the same city, and mark the events you are going to.
The Bud Board
Read and post on the community feed for the travel trade.
Opt-in, you stay in control
Nobody messages you without a connection you have accepted. A public page is yours to switch on or off. Guide accounts carry no subscription.
To reach out you need a real profile: your name and a confirmed account. Members agree to the Code of Conduct.

Is RepBud free for guides?+
Yes. A Guide account carries no subscription and no card, and there is no trial that runs out.
Who can join as a Guide?+
People who lead guests in the field. At sign-up you say how you guide: Freelance, or with a Lodge, a Camp, a Reserve or a Company. With a lodge, camp, reserve or company you name it and are asked for its website, as other members are. A freelance guide is asked for neither.
I am a freelance guide with no company. Can I join?+
Yes, a freelance guide can join with no company and no website. Choose Freelance at sign-up: a trading name and a website are both optional, so your own name is enough.
Why does RepBud ask which languages I guide in?+
So the trade can see them. You choose at least one language at sign-up, it shows on your card and your profile, and you can change the list later.
Who can find me and connect with me?+
Members of the travel trade on RepBud: reps, tour operators and travel agents, DMCs and Ground Handlers, travel PR, reporters, event organisers, airlines, associations, tourist boards, industry services, guides and travel directors. Properties listed on RepBud Ready are kept apart: a Ready listing meets reps and travel PR only.
Can anyone message me?+
No. A message needs a connection you have accepted. A declined request cannot be sent again by the person you declined, and you can block or report anyone.
Does a Guide account include RepBud Ready?+
No. RepBud Ready is where properties look for a rep, and those listings meet reps and travel PR only. A Guide account is for being found, connecting and messaging.
Is it only for one country?+
No. RepBud is global: the travel trade uses it across source markets and destinations, and you can join wherever you work.
