A travel-trade alternative to Mailchimp
Mailchimp sends to a list you maintain. RepBud Reach sends to the trade contacts you already keep in your CRM — consent checked before it goes, net rates shown only to the buyers entitled to them.
Mailchimp is one of the best-known email marketing platforms, used by businesses of every size.
What RepBud Reach is
Mailchimp is a fine email platform with a very wide audience, and if you are running consumer campaigns with e-commerce automations behind them it earns its place. The question worth asking is narrower: what does a travel representative emailing trade buyers actually need?
RepBud Reach answers that one. The list is the CRM you already keep, so a contact you met at a show last week is available to segment this week without an export or an upload. Campaigns are built in a drag-and-drop block editor with your saved brand header and footer, sent from your own domain once DKIM is verified, and checked against UK PECR, German UWG and South African POPIA before anything leaves. Opens, clicks, bounces and complaints come back against the contact record in the CRM, and a hard bounce or spam complaint suppresses the address to protect your sender reputation.
What it brings to your day
Email that knows your trade contacts
The list is your CRM
Segment on live rules — country, buyer type, tags, specialisms, destinations, "not contacted in N days" — or on trade-show states like met, scanned or no-showed. No syncing, no re-uploading after a show.
Rate-sheet confidentiality
One {{rates_link}} shows each recipient only the sheets their buyer type is entitled to, so net rates reach operators and not retail agents, from a single campaign.
Consent checked before sending
UK PECR, German UWG and South African POPIA rules are applied before a send, dropping contacts with no lawful basis and using the strictest rule when a country is unknown.
Replies come back to the CRM
Opens and clicks land against the contact, and intelligent reply triage (beta, opt-in) sorts replies by intent and logs them beside the relationship they belong to.
Being straight with you
Reach is trade email, not a marketing suite. There are no landing pages, no e-commerce integrations and no multi-step customer journeys — you can schedule a campaign for later, but you cannot build a drip sequence. Reach is included with every paid cabin, so it suits people already using RepBud as their CRM. If you need consumer marketing automation across a big subscriber base, Mailchimp is the better tool and we would rather point you there.
Frequently Asked Questions
Questions people ask us
Do I have to maintain a separate mailing list?+
No, and that is rather the point. The list is the contacts you already keep in RepBud, segmented by live rules — country, buyer type, tags, specialisms, destinations, "not contacted in N days" — or by trade-show state such as met, scanned or no-showed. Nothing to sync, nothing to re-upload after a show.
Can I send rates without the wrong people seeing them?+
Yes — this is the piece built specifically for the trade. A single {{rates_link}} merge field shows each recipient only the sheets their buyer type is entitled to, so operators see net rates and retail agents see the sheet meant for them, from one campaign. It helps you avoid the net-rate email that goes to the wrong list.
How does Reach handle consent and the law?+
Consent is checked before a send goes out, not after. Reach knows UK PECR, German UWG and South African POPIA, drops any contact without a lawful basis, and applies the strictest rule when a contact's country is unknown. Every email carries RFC 8058 one-click unsubscribe and your postal address. It helps you stay on the right side of the rules — it does not replace your own legal advice.
Can I send from my own domain?+
Yes. Reach generates the DKIM and Return-Path records for you to add to your DNS, and once they verify your campaigns send from your own domain. Until then mail goes out from a RepBud address with your own email as the reply-to, so nothing is blocked while you wait on DNS.
Can I schedule a campaign for later?+
Yes. Pick a date and time and Reach queues it, then sends it at that time through exactly the same path as a manual send — so consent, suppression and sending caps are checked again at the moment it fires, against the list as it stands then. You can cancel a scheduled campaign back to a draft at any point before it goes.
