A travel-trade alternative to Google Drive links
No sign-in, no "request access" email arriving after your deadline. Relay hands a buyer one link that simply downloads, then tidies itself away after three days.
Google Drive is familiar, generous and comes with a Google account, which is why so many files travel that way.
What RepBud Relay is
Google Drive is convenient and most of us live in it. The awkwardness shows up at the edges of an organisation: sharing permissions that depend on which account the buyer clicked with, an access request landing in your inbox on a Friday evening, or a file that opens in a preview the recipient cannot easily download.
Relay avoids that whole category. Drag files in, get one link, paste it into an email or WhatsApp message. Files up to 5 GB each, transfers up to 5 GB, 10 GB or 25 GB depending on plan. The recipient clicks and downloads in the browser — no account, no permissions, no requests. After three days the link expires and the files delete themselves. You can revoke a link early and see the download count. It is included with paid RepBud plans, sent from the dashboard where your contacts already live.
What it brings to your day
No permissions to get wrong
Nothing to sign into
One link, straight to a download in the browser. No account, no permission settings to get right, no access request landing after the deadline has passed.
Sized for real material
Files up to 5 GB each and transfers up to 25 GB on First Class and Charter — image libraries and destination films, not just a compressed PDF.
Expires by design
Three days and the files delete themselves, so old rate sheets and last season's brochures do not keep circulating from a forwarded thread.
You can see it was opened
Download counts per link, landing on the contact's timeline when you name them — a better basis for a follow-up than hoping.
Being straight with you
Relay does not store, sync or organise anything. There is no folder structure, no collaboration, no editing in place, no version history, and the three-day expiry cannot be extended. Live links are capped by plan at 10, 25 or 100. Keep your masters in Drive if that is where they live — Relay only handles the sending.
Frequently Asked Questions
Questions people ask us
Does the recipient need an account?+
No. They click the link and download in the browser — no account, no install, and no adverts arranged around your material. A buyer receiving your image library should not have to sign up for anything to see it.
Why not just share a Drive folder?+
You can, and for a colleague it is often simplest. The case for Relay is external material going to trade buyers: no permission settings to get right, no access requests, no risk of a link still working next year, and a download count so you know it arrived.
What happens after three days?+
The link expires and the files delete themselves from storage. That is deliberate: a brochure link forwarded around the trade for two years is a liability, not a service. If someone needs it again, send a fresh link — it takes seconds.
Can I take a link back?+
Yes. Revoke it early from the dashboard and it stops working straight away. You can also see the download count for each link, so you know whether the brochure you sent was actually opened before you chase.
Can I put a password on a link?+
Yes, on any transfer. Choose a password when you send, and share it with your buyer separately from the link — RepBud never puts it in the link itself. Until it is entered the download page shows nothing at all, not even the filenames, and repeated wrong guesses lock the link for a while.
Does the CRM know they downloaded it?+
If you say who the files are for, yes. The first download files itself onto that contact's timeline, alongside your meetings and emails with them — so the fact that the rate sheet was opened on Tuesday is simply there next time you look at them, without anyone writing a note.
Can I send from my phone?+
Relay is sent from the RepBud web dashboard, where your contacts and the rest of your material already are. The link itself works anywhere — paste it straight into WhatsApp or an email from whichever device you are on.
