RepBud Relay

A travel-trade alternative to Smash

Relay does the same simple job — big files, one link, no account for the recipient — from inside the dashboard where the buyer you are sending to is already a contact.

Smash is a French file-transfer service well liked for handling very large files.

What RepBud Relay is

Smash is a good service and handles large files well. Relay is not claiming to out-transfer it; the difference is where it sits. Relay is part of RepBud, so sending material happens in the same place you logged the meeting where the buyer asked for it.

Drag files in, get one link, paste it into an email or WhatsApp message. Files up to 5 GB each, with transfers up to 5 GB on Premium Economy, 10 GB on Business Class and 25 GB on First Class and Charter. Recipients download in the browser — no account, no install, no adverts around your material. Links expire after three days and the files delete themselves; revoke early from the dashboard and check the download count on any link. Relay is included with paid RepBud plans rather than being a separate subscription to remember.

What it brings to your day

One less service to keep track of

🏠

Where your contacts already are

Send from the dashboard that holds the meeting where the buyer asked for the brochure — one login, one place, one less tab.

📦

Sized for trade material

Files up to 5 GB each and transfers up to 25 GB on the higher plans, which covers image libraries, brochure sets and destination films.

📈

Download counts and early revoke

See how many times each link was downloaded, name the contact it is for so the download files itself onto their timeline, and pull the link back if something changes.

🔒

Password when it matters

Put a password on a link carrying rates or unreleased material, and share it with your buyer separately from the link.

A tidy three days

Links expire and the files delete themselves, so nothing you sent this season is still circulating two seasons from now.

Being straight with you

Relay is a modest, focused feature rather than a specialist transfer service. Transfers cap at 25 GB on the highest plans, the three-day expiry is fixed, live links are capped by plan at 10, 25 or 100, and it comes with a paid RepBud plan rather than standing alone. If you routinely send transfers larger than that, or you want a standalone service with its own branding controls, a dedicated tool like Smash is the better fit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions people ask us

How large a transfer does Relay handle?+

Files up to 5 GB each, and transfers up to 5 GB on Premium Economy, 10 GB on Business Class and 25 GB on First Class and Charter. If you regularly send more than that in one go, a specialist transfer service will suit you better.

Does the recipient need an account?+

No. They click the link and download in the browser — no account, no install, and no adverts arranged around your material. A buyer receiving your image library should not have to sign up for anything to see it.

What happens after three days?+

The link expires and the files delete themselves from storage. That is deliberate: a brochure link forwarded around the trade for two years is a liability, not a service. If someone needs it again, send a fresh link — it takes seconds.

Can I take a link back?+

Yes. Revoke it early from the dashboard and it stops working straight away. You can also see the download count for each link, so you know whether the brochure you sent was actually opened before you chase.

Can I put a password on a link?+

Yes, on any transfer. Choose a password when you send, and share it with your buyer separately from the link — RepBud never puts it in the link itself. Until it is entered the download page shows nothing at all, not even the filenames, and repeated wrong guesses lock the link for a while.

Does the CRM know they downloaded it?+

If you say who the files are for, yes. The first download files itself onto that contact's timeline, alongside your meetings and emails with them — so the fact that the rate sheet was opened on Tuesday is simply there next time you look at them, without anyone writing a note.

How many links can I have live at once?+

Ten on Premium Economy, twenty-five on Business Class, and a hundred on First Class and Charter. Since links expire after three days, the allowance covers a good deal more sending over a season than the number suggests.

Have a look for yourself

Relay is included with paid plans from Premium Economy up — drag files in, get one link, and it looks after itself after three days. Begin a 14-day complimentary stay to try it.
