Questions
Can people see exactly where I am?+
No. Presence is city-level and deliberately coarse — enough to know you are both at the same show, not enough to find you.
Do I appear automatically?+
No. It is opt-in, and you can be visible to everyone opted in, to people you choose, or to a saved group.
Can a stranger message me?+
No. Somebody you are not connected to has to send a connection request, and you accept or decline it.
What is a Smoke Signal?+
A short ping to members near you — where you are, or what you are heading to. Broadcast or to chosen people, limited to one an hour.
Can I turn all of it off?+
Yes. Set your visibility so you do not appear, and you are not on the list at all.
