A wheel to pick who asks the next question in a Q&A
In a Q&A, the same few hands at the front tend to get the microphone. Spin this wheel to choose which part of the room asks next, from the back rows to the people watching online, so questions come from across the audience.
Try this wheel
Spin it here. Open it as your own wheel to rename wedges, change weights, save it and show it on a big screen.
A free RepBud account runs your own wheel. No card needed; guests join without an account or app.
What is on this wheel
Your wheel opens as “Q&A: who asks next” with these 8 wedges. A higher weight means a bigger wedge and a proportionally higher chance; rename, add or remove any of them.
- Front left
- Front right
- Middle rows
- Back rows
- Balcony
- Online audience
- Panel picks
- Host picks
Tips
- Rename the wedges to match your room plan before the session: delete the balcony if there is none.
- Give the online audience a bigger weight if most of your attendees are remote.
- Have a roaming microphone ready on each side so the chosen section is not waiting for it to arrive.
- Tell the audience at the start that the wheel picks the section; it explains why the host is not choosing.
Questions
Can I give one section a better chance?
Yes. Set a weight from 1 to 20 on each wedge. A wedge with weight 2 has twice the chance of one with weight 1, and its slice is drawn twice as wide.
Can I pick individual people instead of sections?
Yes. Open a live draw and attendees scan a QR code to put their own name on the wheel, with no account or app. Spin to pick the next questioner.
Will the wheel be readable on a projector?
Event mode goes fullscreen and keeps the screen awake. You can pick one of four themes or your own colours for contrast in the room.
